Outreach Opportunities and Calendar

Mother’s Day Outreach - collections of bath and beauty products and small gifts for the ladies who visit us prior to Easter each year. This show of special love shown to our ladies has softened many hearts towards the Lord. Collections in March for distribution in April, 2007.

School Supply Giveaway - we help over 600 children each school year with new school supplies. We begin collections in July and treat the parents who visit us in August with new school supplies for all of their children.

Operation Pure Religion

This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress… James 1:27 (NAS)

Operation Pure Religion makes deliveries of Christmas Baskets to elderly shut-ins all over Columbus each year at Christmas. I know of no better way to involve the entire family in a meaningful giving experience than this one. You will always remember the joy you brought to these precious seniors in our community. This year's deliveries are scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2007. 

We also make monthly food deliveries to fixed income elderly throughout the rest of the year.  This is an ideal ministry opportunity for a church small group; call our office to sign up.

Christmas Family Outreach - I know of no better way to live the true meaning of Christmas than to help the needy this time of year. We will use an army of volunteers to pull off one of the most gratifying events held in Columbus, Ohio each year; the distribution of over 1,000 Christmas baskets to the needy and also give away 2,500 new toys! Our outreach dates this year are December 5-19 (the actual food distribution dates are Dec. 17-19, 2007).

Bag Hunger Food Drives - 1 in 6 children face hunger everyday in Ohio.  We can change that!  Help Victory Mission and WRFD Bag Hunger in Central Ohio.  By holding a food drive once a year, a local church can address hunger in a very practical way.  Bag Hunger grocery bags & signage are available though our office.  Contact us to schedule a Bag Hunger food drive in 2007.
